First Baptist Church Child Development

This standard was evaluated as part of an investigation and found to be deficient. Caregivers failed to verify name on bottle prior to feeding which caused an infant to receive the wrong bottle.

During the investigation, it was determined that the operation failed to ensure that infant bottle was labeled and that the correct bottle was provided to the appropriate child.

After conducting interviews and reviewing the video footage, it was determined that a caregiver used inappropriate discipline by hitting a child on the arm.

The operation did not place the mats for sufficient walking space between them.

During the practice of a safety/emergency drill, a child was left unsupervised in the classroom for approximately two minutes.

It was determined that two infants were obsevred in restrictive devices for over an hour.

Two classrooms had straps missing from seats infants are using on a daily basis.

It was determined than an infant under twelve months was placed in the crib multiple times with a blanket

Caregivers did not follow written feeding instructions, leading to an infant missing a bottle feeding.

Child was left outside on playground unattended for 10 minutes.

Caregiver was smoking a controlled substance on the premises.

Caregiver was allowed to supervise children under the influence.

The caregivers did not follow their operation policy for supervision when transitioning children from the classroom.

The operation did notify a parent after a child was left unattended in the classroom when the fire alarm went off unexpectedly.
