Who we are

CheckedCare is operated by Vientapps LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("CheckedCare," "we," or "us"). This policy explains what information we handle when you visit the site. It is written for the site as it operates today, and we will update it here if that changes.

We publish facilities, not people

The records on CheckedCare are public government records about licensed facilities. We do not publish data about children, residents, or staff, and we remove individuals' names and contact details from inspection narratives before publishing (marked [name redacted]). If you believe a person's private information still appears anywhere on the site, use our corrections process and we will review and redact it promptly.

Information we collect from you

You can read every record on CheckedCare without an account, and we do not ask you to sign in or to submit personal information to browse the site. If you contact us, for example to request a correction, we receive whatever you choose to send us and use it only to handle your request.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used in aggregate, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example _ga) and shares standard request information, such as your IP address and browser, with Google, which processes it under its own privacy policy. We use it only to measure aggregate traffic; we do not use it to build advertising profiles, identify individual visitors, or sell your data. We set no advertising cookies. You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server access logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We do not use these logs to build profiles of visitors.

Advertising and affiliate links

We may earn revenue from advertising and from clearly disclosed affiliate links. Following such a link may share standard request information, such as your IP address and browser, with that third party under its own privacy policy, not ours. We never take payment from a facility to change, remove, or reorder its record.

Children's privacy

CheckedCare is a records service intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and requests

To request removal of personal information you believe appears on the site, or to raise any privacy question, reach us through our corrections process.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will post the updated policy here with a new date.
