The operation had added a geodome to the playground and the equipment did not have sufficient use zones around it. This was corrected during the inspection when the geodome was moved to different part of the playground where the use zones were sufficient.

A small slide set had been added to an area of the playground that did not have loose-fill.

The parent handbook was missing information on water activities, information on how parents will be updated when the handbook changes, and the days and months of operation, and the illness and exclusion criteria needed to be updated.

Out of the four staff files reviewed, four did not have proof of education on file.

There was medication stored for children who were no longer enrolled. This was corrected during the inspection when the medication was disposed of.

Testing of the smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguishers was not recorded for November. This was corrected during the inspection when the detectors and fire extinguishers were checked.

There was no fire drill recorded for November. This was corrected during the inspection when a fire drill was completed and the children were able to exit in less than three minutes.

The operational policies were missing policies for parent visits, procedures for children with special needs, promotion of physical activity, the exterme weather criteria that the operation uses to determine wether or not children will go out to play, and a plan for physical activity to take place indoors if weather prohibits outdoor play.

The gravel underneath the slide exits had been displaced by children using the slides, and had not been raked back to the proper depth. This was corrected at inspection when the director raked the gravel back into place.

During the inspection two classrooms were observed watching television during nap time. This was corrected during the inspection by the caregivers turning the television off.
