Ivy Kids Early Learning Center

During the walkthrough of the schooler class there was one group of 59 children with 3 caregivers present. It was observed that there was only one roster for all children present, which exceeds the maximum group size.

During the walkthrough of the operation I oberseved a paint can in the corner of the bridge classroom away from the children.

The operation did not have the fire inspection to review during inspection time. The fire in the current one expired on 11/21/2023

Bus number 4 was missing the first aid kit. Note: this was correct at the time of inspection. The caregiver found an extra first aid kit and placed it on the bus.

The electronic child safety alarm on the bus number 3 did not work.

Buses number 1 and 3 were missing the thermometer. Note: It was correct at the time of inspection. The caregiver found two extra thermometers and placed them in the kit.

A caregiver in classromm Toddlers was seen helping toddlers use the restroom during a walk-through; however, neither the caregiver nor the children's hands were washed afterwards. Note Corrected at inspection. Caregivers and children were observed washing their hands.

An employee did not have high school diploma available to review during the inspection.

One child was missing the inmunization records in file.

The fire inspection report was not availble at the inspection time.

Based on the investigation and information obtained the operation did not provide information to parents that a child contracted a communicable disease.

One employee in charge of transporting children did not have the transportation safety training available to review during the inspection time.

One of the buses did not have a first aid kit. Note: This was corrected at the inspection time.

There was no records of the playground maintenance checklists for the 2022 year.

There was not available a first aid kit in a designated location in the center.

Based on the investigation and information obtained the caregiver did not intervene when a child was being confronted by a parent. Note: The caregiver has been retrained on how to intervene and communicate with parents.

The director was missing annual training hours for emergency preparedness.

There were 4 out of 10 caregivers with the annual training hours missing for year 2021.

The pre-service training was missing for 1 out of 10 employee records.
